Narcolepsy is a neurological condition impacting 1 in every 2,000 people, that's 3 million people worldwide. We waited over 2 years for this sweet little girl and it was well worth it. She has brought so much love and joy to us in just 2 short months. My narcolepsy story starts 7 years ago when I was My narcolepsy story starts 7 years ago when I was 29 years old. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy with cataplexy within a few months of the onset of symptoms. My cataplexy was so severe I couldn’t walk around my house without the risk of falling. When I was diagnosed, I felt relief to have a diagnosis, but I wasn’t excited about the diagnosis. Seven years after being diagnosed I am grateful to have an amazing support system - my wonderful husband, family and friends. I am proud to be part of such an amazing community of people and helping to raise narcolepsy awareness.
